Stopped reading at "Abe Lincoln was a republican". The point is that he was a liberal, a viewpoint embraced by Democrats. Republicans will be slow to call themselves anything but conservative; and conservatives are not as big on equal rights as liberals. So yes, we have George Wallace and Hugo Black. And yet, we also have MLK, Jesse Jackson, LBJ, John Edwards and Bill Clinton.
Look beyond the 60s. Who do the conservatives have to offer us today? Bigots like Ann Coulter? Imbeciles like GW? Liars and zombies like Condi and Cheney? Warhawks like Jerry Falwell and Rummy? Perhaps values voters can find solace in Rudy Giuliani (three times married and hated by his daughter/FDNY)? Just so long as they aren't Hillary Clinton, they must be good people. I mean, honestly. It's pathetic to hear these idiots flaunting outlier Democrats like Wallace. Does he understand that the Democrats are a huge, diverse party? We gave the world Dennis Kucinich and Zel Miller. The Republicans gave us an equal rights crusader in 1860. Oh, boy.
I was pretty intrigued by the whole "Aunt Jemima" comment. I'm sure that was coming from quite a large group of Dems -- although it certainly doesn't compare to Republicans giving blacks the wrong voting date in both 00 and 04.
Fucktards. I bet next they'll be saying that Democrats are corporate slaves to Exxon-Mobil.

Matt,
Thanks to all the beings that rule for the gift of liberals on this earth. Where would we be without them?
Nice meeting you at the JJ Dinner last night. I hope we have more opportunities to talk face to face in the future.
Peace. Jerry
